I have known and worked alongside Dylan for more than 15 years and he and I collaborate constantly as he currently serves as Chair of the Humboldt Made Finance Committee, where he has been instrumental in strengthening our financial oversight, improving reporting practices, and helping ensure organizational compliance. Dylan has taken a leadership role in launching and convening Humboldt Made’s Grants and Fundraising Committee, helping us identify and pursue new funding opportunities that will support the organization’s long-term sustainability.
What makes Dylan especially unique is that he brings far more than financial and organizational skills to the table. He is thoughtful, collaborative, and deeply committed to the success of the organizations and communities he serves. He has spent years working with small businesses, understands the realities of agriculture and food production firsthand, and has experience as both a farmer and event producer. This combination of practical experience, strategic thinking, and community engagement is rare.
I have worked with many accountants, nonprofit leaders, and board members throughout my career, and Dylan consistently stands out. He is professional, articulate, dependable, and genuinely enjoyable to work with. He has strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to connect with people from all backgrounds. Whether he is presenting financial information to a board, working with community partners, or representing an organization at public events, he brings both competence and authenticity.
Perhaps most importantly, Dylan is someone people trust. He follows through on commitments, approaches challenges with integrity, and is dedicated to building organizations that have a lasting positive impact. I am confident he would bring thoughtful leadership, strong financial stewardship, and a deep commitment to any organization’s mission and future success.
